For one night only, the Salzburg Global Seminar and Max Reinhardt, the famous theater impresario of the early twentieth century, invite you to join in a spectacular Commedia dell' Arte promenade performance and masked ball at our magnificent home, Schloss Leopoldskron. This New Year, the party will ring in 1929 - the height of Max's showbiz career and his heyday at the Schloss - and will take you back to the 18th century - the very era of the palace's birth - to gasp at the tall tales of Il Capitano, laugh at the witty antics of Arlecchino, and pine with him for his fickle love, Colombina. When you're not being lured away through the palace's sparkling halls by one of these mysterious characters, you'll be entertained by Noel Coward, or Marlene Dietrich singing with Herbert Von Karajan at the piano. You'll enjoy feasting and dancing in the splendid Marble Hall with musicians serenading from the balconies, and join Max's glamorous cosmopolitan guests in counting down the last seconds of the old year and welcoming in the new as Salzburg's fireworks crackle and glitter on all sides of the palace.
Tickets to this New Year's gala are available with or without on-site accommodation. However, as space is limited, tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.

Tickets for "Max Reinhardt Invites A Masked Ball at Schloss Leopoldskron" may be purchased by contacting our program staff at Fellowship@SalzburgGlobal.org.
Space is limited and tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that the ticket price does NOT include accommodations, however a special accommodation supplement is available for those wishing to stay on-site. When contacting staff to reserve your space, please be prepared to inform us of the number of tickets you would like, the names of those to attend, and which, if any, of the accommodation options you would like to reserve. Payment should then be made via credit card or electronic transfer, and our staff will inform you about the details of how that payment can be made.
Masked Ball Accommodation Supplement
A special two-night accommodations package (December 30, 2011-January 1, 2012) is available to book in addition to your ball tickets. Discount prices, which include bed and breakfast, are available only in combination with tickets to the masked ball.
