Robert ("Bob") Walker has 30 years of experience in the sustainable and responsible investing field and helped lead the development of the industry in Canada and globally. For almost 20 years Bob served as Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Services at NEI Investments. In this role, he built the Sustainable Investing Program and a department of 10 professionals, focused on using multi-stakeholder dialogue and interest-based negotiation to encourage companies to improve their environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) performance. The program was the first of its kind in Canada and won numerous leadership awards in Canada and the US. Bob now leads LVC Strategies, a consulting service focused on impact investing and building coalitions for advanced progress in sustainability. He is also a Strategic Consultant for Millani Associates, an ESG advisory firm, serving investment institutions and listed companies. Bob chairs the Board of the London-based International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN), an association of the investment institutions, corporates and consultants advancing best corporate governance and investor stewardship practices worldwide. He also chairs the Nominations and Governance Committee of the International Institute for Sustainable Development, a top 10 global environmental think-tank. He has recently joined the board of a Finnish technology company devoted to advancing citizen science in support of the environment and human health.
