Wanjiru Waithaka is the regional director Africa at Incofin IM, a leading emerging markets focused impact investment manager with over EUR 1.2b in assets under management. Wanjiru leads the Africa team in making debt and equity investments in financial inclusion, food & agriculture and water; with a dual objective of achieving impact and a healthy sustainable return. She has over 10 years' experience working largely in the private equity sector and has built a successful track record investing in Eastern Africa. She enjoys working with founders and management teams as they scale their businesses. Prior to joining Incofin, Wanjiru worked at Ascent Capital, an advisor of the Ascent Rift Valley Fund, a USD 200m private equity fund. She started her career in audit working at PwC and PKF.
