Alejandro Boucabeille

Chief Communications Officer / Policy Advisor, World OCR/The Entrepreneurial Adventurer, Austria

Alejandro Boucabeille is an internationally active policy advisor, lecturer, manager, writer, speaker, journalist and activist. He is currently Chief Information Officer and Media Advisor at World OCR in Geneve, and is also active as a policy advisor for different international actors based in Austria. Apart from lecturing, writing and participating at the Boards of different NGOs, he was elected Co-President of Amnesty International Austria and Board Member of Suedwind Agents of Change program, Director of the Festival "Agents of Change" of Foundation Honoris Causa in Latin America. As part of ICANs International Team he fought, especially as a spokesperson, nuclear weapons. The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons was awarded the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize. Alejandro considers himself a "global citizen" (born in Mexico, with a Mexican mother, a French father, a Swiss stepfather, raised in Austria by an Afro-American stepfather, he unites all cultures and colors, and has also travelled to 87 countries, and lived in 20 countries). He is receiving his PhD from University of Innsbruck, and received a Magister in History and a Bachelor in Political Science from the same university. He also holds a Master in International Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges and a Master in Travel Journalism from University of Barcelona.
