Virtual Meeting 2: Community Engagement

Online

18:00 - 19:30 CET

Community Engagement

In this online session, participants will have the opportunity to explore the critical role of power dynamics in policymaking. The facilitator, drawing on their experience working in policy, informed by their community work, will lead an interactive discussion. During the session, the facilitator will raise important questions such as:

  • How to be transformative and innovative in policymaking?
  • Who is included and excluded from policy-making spaces based on factors such as race and class?
  • How to shift power dynamics by working collaboratively with communities and the important role that communities can play in the policy-making process?

Through an engaging and interactive discussion, participants will have the opportunity to draw on their lived experiences and gain valuable insights into creating more equitable outcomes in policymaking.
