Past Program

Peace is key to ensuring Asia’s sustained development and prosperity as the world’s most populous region grows in global geopolitical and economic importance.  But despite the region’s rich experience in mediating peace and reconciliation, the learning exchange between regional, local and community-driven initiatives has so far been low.

The Asia Peace Innovators Forum shapes long-term peace, stability, and regional cooperation in Asia by building a network of mid-career professionals working in different sectors and countries to exchange knowledge, community-driven approaches, and best practices.  The appearance of the Covid-19 pandemic right after the Forum’s launch in 2020 resulted in the postponement of the in-person meetings.  However, during this time, online meetings have allowed Fellows to share their ideas to address common interests and challenges, which have also resulted in them developing collaborative projects together both within their own countries and across borders. 
 
This program offered the first opportunity for Fellows of the first cohort to meet together in person since the pandemic.  Together, they have the opportunity to further their own existing work, including the collaborative projects they have developed been developing, as well as to discuss the issues, build their skills, and consider new projects for the future.  
 
Participation at this meeting is limited to existing members of the Forum.
