The Mid- and Long-Term Macro-Economic Risks Post-COVID-19

Online

14:00 - 14:45 CET / 08:00 - 8:45 ET

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a global recession, which is deepening existing inequalities and exposing new vulnerabilities within and across countries. What will be the persistent effects of the pandemic on the global economy in the medium to long-term? And what might be the possible policy remedies?

Through a series of “virtual coffee breaks” the Salzburg Global Finance Forum provided an informal space for participants of the June program – Financial Services in the Post-Pandemic Era: An Opportunity for a Green and Digitally Enabled Recovery – to delve more deeply into themes and share further learnings. Each discussion was led by a leading figure in the finance sector.

This discussion was led by Raghuran Rajan, Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Participation was limited to Fellows of the Salzburg Global Finance Forum and capped at max. 25 participants to keep conversations open and candid.

This program was organized under the auspices of Salzburg Global Seminar - Austria.
