The Freeman Foundation Symposia have been created to bring together alumni of the Salzburg Seminar from the United States and from East Asia for an open exchange of ideas on issues of mutual relevance, thereby fostering close--and hopefully lasting--links between those involved. The second of this series of Symposia will be devoted to the theme "East Asia - United States"
